Lead certificate tracker
Turnovers are where lead certificates catch owners off guard. Enter the issue date and we'll show you what's coming.
The rules behind the dates
- New Jersey: lead-safe certificates are valid for two years. Units are inspected every three years or at tenant turnover, whichever is earlier, and a valid certificate covers a turnover (NJ DCA). NJ guide
- Philadelphia: lead-safe certificates completed after February 1, 2020 are valid for four years. Lead-free certificates don't expire (Philadelphia Lead and Healthy Homes Program). Philadelphia guide
